Viktor's performance at Carnegie Hall in NYC

Dear people with a big heart, There are not enough words to express my gratitude for your support. Besides financial support, which was crucial for me and Viktor to realize the trip to New York, I am deeply moved by realizing how much support we have in this lovely neighbourhood. Thank you to your donations we achieved our goal and Viktor's dream come true! Viktor was scheduled to perform first at the Winners' recital (Weill Recital Hall), and he opened it in a big way! He got a big applause and a lot of people approached him after the recital to congratulate him. The closing ceremony was awarding the trophies and certificates - he was given the second prize, which is a huge success! The experience itself was a life-changing one for Viktor - he felt like a star and had a huge motivation to commit to guitar even more. Huge THANK YOU to Viktor's guitar teachers, Daniel Ramjattan and Jelica Mijanovic, who prepared him for Carnegie Hall and have been shaping his musical personality and nurturing his love for music. Their efforts and care for Viktor remind me all the time how important and responsible the profession of music teacher is. We used the donated money for registration fees for the audition of the Elite International Music Competition and Winner Recital, for plane tickets, covering the costs of accommodation, new guitar strings, and food and transportation while in NY. This whole trip would not be possible without your generous support! I would like so much to help you back, so I came up with an idea: If you would like to advertise your business, I am happy to put your logo on my website, social media, recital programs and list you as a sponsor of my school 'Sunny Day'. Please let me know if that is something you would be interested in. Local support is so important, as this example showed us! That inspired me to think about the future steps: to dedicate my efforts next year to finding big sponsors, enabling other talented kids to perform at Carnegie Hall or elsewhere, participating in masterclasses, providing opportunities to families in need to get affordable music classes, and giving to this community music and art programs for free. Together we are stronger! I am attaching some photos and videos from New York. We were not allowed to film kids during the performance, so I am posting whatever I have, plus the YT link for Viktor's performance of Carulli's 'Andantino' that he performed at Carnegie Hall. https://youtube.com/shorts/JiDV1aNslkQ

All the best, Jelena/Helen
